Caution
Iso Propyl Myristate (I.P.M.) is a synthetic oil made from isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid. When the two elements are combined, they form an exceptional emollient that is very lightweight and may be used as a carrier oil in many applications.
Isopropyl myristate has the added benefit of also enhancing the penetration of ingredients into the skin.
It may also be included in recipes as an alternative to a liquid carrier oil to make for a lighter, faster-absorbing product. At higher concentrations, it may also be used in products like makeup removers.
This ingredient appears as a colourless liquid with a faint odour and is GMO, peanut, dairy, egg, and gluten-free, and contains no residual solvents.
