Useful for all kinds of cream cosmetics, where it provides body to the product and evaporates readily after application.

Usage Rate

May be used in concentrations of up to 95% depending on the formulation. Include in the oil phase of your products - it should be cold-processed as it will readily evaporate when heated.

Cyclomethicone is a clear and odourless silicone ingredient that has many uses in a variety of cosmetics and personal care products owing to its amazing skin and hair conditioning properties. It is most useful for products like deodorants and antiperspirants that need to coat the skin but not remain sticky afterwards as it has a relatively dry finish and evaporates quickly post-application. It provides many other benefits such as enabling a smooth texture and slip, ensuring an even application without getting into the pores, or sticking to skin cells. In hair care products such as conditioners, it makes the hair less static.
