Cream of Tartar (Potassium Bi Tartrate) is formed as a byproduct of winemaking, as it crystallises and forms deposits at the bottom of the casks during the fermentation process. Composed of 20% potassium, it contains trace amounts of many other minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, and zinc.
The antibacterial nature of cream of tartar makes it an effective remedy for acne, and it is also used for cleaning purposes.
