Caution
The extraction of jasmine oil from jasmine plants begins with immersing the petals in a hexane or ethanol solvent and rotating them to release the aroma molecules into the mixture. The longer the flowers are immersed in the solvent, the more aroma oil is extracted.
The liquid is subsequently distilled to generate 'concrete,' a wax-like substance.
The concrete can be combined with grain alcohol to remove the wax and colour or used to make solid scents.
