Caution

Eucalyptus oil is extracted from the leaves of specific eucalyptus tree species. The trees are members of the Myrtaceae plant family, which is endemic to Australia, Tasmania, and adjacent islands. There are about 500 eucalypti species, but the essential oils of Eucalyptus salicifolia and Eucalyptus globulus (commonly known as fever tree or gum tree) are extracted for their therapeutic benefits.
