It is widely used in cosmetic and personal care formulations as a foaming agent, emulsifier, and viscosity enhancer. CDEA improves the texture and stability of rinse-off products by increasing foam richness and durability when combined with anionic surfactants. It also acts as an acid neutralizer and pH adjuster, helping formulations achieve a creamy, smooth consistency.
