Beta Arbutin helps even out skin tone and removes dark spots. It also helps with glycation, sugar-induced skin sallowness and loss of elasticity.

Beta Arbutin is extracted from the leaves of the bearberry plant. It is a popular skin lightening agent, as it inhibits the activity of tyrosinase and prevents the production of melanin, thus helping reduce hyperpigmentation, spots, and freckles. It also has sterilisation and anti-inflammation properties and is obtained by chemical synthesis.
It protects from pigmentation caused by UV rays by blocking the activity of tyrosinase, which is activated every time the skin comes into contact with sunlight.
The white crystalline powder serves the same purpose as hydroquinone, but with reduced irritation and melano cytotoxicity. Since it is water soluble, it is absorbed by the skin very easily.
