Caution
Allantoin is believed to be an excellent skincare ingredient for sensitive skin, and is widely used in Korean skincare products. Very commonly found in anti-ageing serums, it has moisturising, soothing and healing properties. Allantoin works well with silicone and other emollients, and with retinol for anti-ageing. It is found in many OTC skincare products, and is naturally extracted from beets, comfrey, chamomile, wheat sprouts, and tobacco seeds. The ingredient works great for issues ranging from dryness, dullness, and irritation to acne scars, cuts and scrapes.
