Used as a surfactant for firefighting foams, textile auxiliary and dye dispersant, wetting, foaming, and dispersing agent (industrial, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals), detergent (hair dyes, cosmetics, and industrial and household cleaners), and also as an emulsifier in emulsion polymerizations, and for refining and processing of metals
